Along with LavenderPeppermint is one of the world’s most versatile essential oils that can be used for pretty much anything – from housekeeping to hair treatments, headaches to stomach aches.

Read on to learn some of the best uses for this miraculous oil!

In Your Home
The easiest way to use Peppermint oil in your home is with a diffuser. Not only does it smell fantastic, but it’s also a natural energizer that will put a little pep in your step while simultaneously reducing stress.

Did you know you can use Peppermint oil to banish spiders and ants?
  • Soak a cotton ball with oil and place it around the house where you typically find these pesky creepy crawlers.
  • You can also spray oil diluted with water on your house plants for an all-natural insect repellent that causes no harm to the plant.

When the time comes for spring cleaning, replace your toxic cleaners with Peppermint oil, which is both anti-fungal and antibacterial!
  • In a spray bottle, mix about 30 drops of oil with 1/4 cup of vinegar, and fill the rest with water to create an all-natural disinfectant to use around the house.
Keep your pets flea-free by applying a small amount of diluted Peppermint oil to their coats. Be careful not to overdo it – Fido’s sense of smell is much stronger than yours!

For Your Health
There are countless ways to incorporate essential oils into your daily routine to improve your health and well-being. These are a few ways I like to use Peppermint oil.

Got a migraine or mind-numbing headachePeppermint is a natural pain reliever and relaxant, so massaging diluted oil onto your temples can help melt the pain away.

After a tough workout, the cooling sensation of Peppermint oil can effectively sooth sore muscles and achey joints. You can even place a few drops in a warm bath for a revitalizing spa treatment that heals both the body and the mind.

When cold and flu season strikes, clear your sinuses by applying Peppermint oil to a wash cloth and inhaling its aroma in a hot shower. You can also place a few drops on diffuser jewelry to clear your sinuses on-the-go.

Beauty Treatments

When it comes to skin conditions, Peppermint oil does it all. The soothing oil can calm skin inflammations, help dry lips, and revitalize cracked nail cuticles, to name a few.

Try mixing it with shea butter, coconut oil, and Lavender oil for an ultra-nourishing skin and lip treatment sans harsh chemicals. Not only does peppermint oil heal and hydrate the skin, but it can also be used topically to reduce acne and diminish redness.
  • Apply a drop of diluted oil to your most stubborn pimples at bed time and wake up looking like you came out of a Neutrogena commercial.

Add Peppermint oil to your favorite shampoo and conditioner to get that thick mermaid hair you’ve always dreamed of. Peppermint oil stimulates hair follicles, making it an effective cure for hair loss without any weird side effects.

I love peppermint oil ! I suffer from migraines. The only thing that takes them away is peppermint. I use it full strength a drop at a time on my temples, and at the base of the skull. I use more on the back of my neck, and smidge under my nose. I lay down in a quite spot take a nap and feel so much better when I AWAKE. It works so well, no drugs, or other harmful long acting chemicals. Peppermint – my life saver ! Job saver. Marriage saver !
